Cosmetic Services - Surgeries & Procedures

Known as "power peel" is more like softened sandblasting. It involves tiny crystals that are sprayed on the skin - and works best on superficial skin problems like fine lines, dull skin, brown spots, mild acne scars, and age spots.

("Nose job") is the surgical alteration of the nose to change its shape or improve its function. Rhinoplasty is performed to correct breathing problems related to the nose or to correct disfigurement of the nose that has occurred because of trauma or birth defects that cause the nose to take an abnormal shape. Cosmetic rhinoplasty is performed on normal noses to improve their shape and appearance. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, or change the size or shape of the tip, the bridge, or nostrils.

Your surgeon will make the incisions in the area of natural creases. That is, at the temple in front of your ear, continuing around your ear and behind it. He or she will then access the muscle and connective tissue beneath the skin to make the appropriate manipulations.

Chemical Peel

Known as chemexfoliation or derma-peeling, are a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes it to "blister" and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin also is temporarily more sensitive to the sun.

Eyelid Procedures

The procedure involves the removal of excess skin, muscle and underlying fatty tissue. While it is primarily a cosmetic procedure, blepharoplasty is also an effective method for improving sight in older patients whose sagging upper eyelids obstruct their vision.

Tattoo & Birthmark Removal

Depending on the size and color of your tattoo, the number of treatments will vary. Your tattoo may be removed in two to four visits, though many more sessions may be necessary. You should schedule a consultation, during which time a trained professional will evaluate your personal situation and advise you on the process.

Treatment with the laser varies from patient to patient depending on the age, size and type of tattoo (amateur or professional). The color of the patient's skin, as well as the depth to which the tattoo pigment extends, will also affect the removal technique.

Facial Implants

  • Lower jaw implant. The implant is placed inside of the lower lip. Incision site will be secured with sutures that will dissolve in about one week. The procedure takes one to two hours.
  • Cheek implant. The implant is placed internally through upper lip or externally via your lower eyelid. Sutures will vary depending on whether they're internal or external. The procedure takes about an hour.
  • Chin implant. The implant is placed internally to the lower lip, or under your chin. As with the cheek implant, sutures will vary depending on whether they're internal or external. The procedure takes 30 minutes to an hour

Facial Rejuvenation (Restylane, Botox injections, Sculptra)

Restylane® is a crystal-clear, non-animal; biodegradable gel based called hyaluronic acid. The gel is injected into the skin in tiny amounts. The result is instantaneous and produces a long-lasting, natural enhancement, gentle and safe to your skin. (http://medicalcosmetic.org/restylane.htm)

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple non-surgical procedure used to reduce lines and wrinkles in the brow area, frown lines, and crow's feet. One ten-minute treatment--a few tiny injections--relaxes the muscles that cause these deep lines. (http://medicalcosmetic.org/botox.htm)

Sculptra™ known as the "liquid facelift", works by both filling in lines and wrinkles and by stimulating the body to produce new collagen and underlying tissue, thereby creating a fuller, more youthful appearance. Scupltra™ is an injectable implant that contains micro-particles of Pol-L-lactic acid, biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic polymer from the alpha-hydroxy-acid family.
